Grande Centre Point Lumphini raises the bar in hotel fitness
Technogym X Roadbook
Among the vanguard of new hotel fitness and wellness offerings in Thailand, Grande Centre Point Lumphini steps in with a Japanese onsen, sky pool and one of the best hotel gyms in Bangkok
As travellers continue to blur the lines between work and leisure, discerning guests expect design-conscious hotels with all the perks of their local luxury gym or club. Grande Centre Point Lumphini nails the hotel fitness brief with its latest hotel opening in Bangkok, which stands high above Lumphini Park as a beacon of calm amidst the area’s retail and entertainment offerings.
From the Gravity Fit Club, guests can workout in harmony with the verdant vista of Lumphini Park’s native trees and jade green lake, framed by the city’s towering skyscrapers. The thoughtfully considered hotel gym balances light and space to soothing effect, outfitted with cutting-edge Technogym equipment, precision designed for cardio, strength and functional training.

Stacks of gleaming weights line up on the racks and smart bikes stream on-demand classes. Forget fighting for a treadmill or stealthily snatching a weights bench – guests can get comfortably into their workout thanks to the generous spread of state-of-the-art Technogym machines across the more than 1,400 square metre club, while personal trainers offer a knowledgeable guiding hand. For something more restorative, relieve tight muscles on the Flexibility Posterior (for the uninitiated, that’s a back stretching machine).
Grande Centre Point is noted for its luxury hotels across Thailand, which blend modern design with a strong focus on health, relaxation and rejuvenation.
“At Grande Centre Point, wellness is a holistic lifestyle philosophy that shapes the entire guest experience,” according to the general manager, who sees this philosophy speaking to a core need and a global trend. “We’re catering travellers who prioritize health and wellbeing—not just as a component of their journey, but often as the primary motivation. Travellers are actively seeking experiences that nurture both physical and mental wellbeing, from tailored fitness programs to mindfulness workshops and sleep-focused accommodation.”

At the new Lumphini hotel, guests can follow targeted workouts with a sauna or jacuzzi at the Gravity Fit Club, or a muscle-mollifying Thai massage, reflexology or body scrub at the spa. A Grande Centre Point signature, the Japanese onsen experience comprises five pools including a hot springs bath (with mineral-rich water imported from Gero in Japan), cold plunge and an array of water jets for the ultimate hydrotherapy immersion. The design draws influence from Ine no Funaya, a village situated on the eastern coast of the Tango Peninsula in northern Kyoto.

“The unique architecture and serene atmosphere of this coastal village inspire a harmonious fusion of cultural heritage and modern luxury.”
An impressive 50m infinity pool on the 27th floor completes the offering, where guests can swim against soaring views of Lumpini and Benjakitti parks and the city’s skyline. Finish with a dip in the bubbling jacuzzi bath or segue to the adjacent Sky Bar for a thirst-quenching mango yoghurt or watermelon smoothie.

Sleep soundly
Sleep is a non-negotiable pillar of wellness and one that Grande Centre Point takes seriously. Queen and king-sized beds are topped with luxury linens, while a pillow menu is available and each guest receives a complimentary pillow mist. Soundproof rooms ensure an undisturbed night’s sleep, while Dyson hair dryers and locally made LRL toiletries – noted for their natural ingredients and therapeutic benefits – make getting ready a joy.

Eating well
Five restaurants ensure guest nutrition is well catered. Begin your day at Malai restaurant with a sumptuous breakfast buffet of local, Asian and international fare. At the health-conscious Bloom & Bat Lobby cafe, guests and discerning locals grab green and lean salad boxes and enjoy Thai iced tea, or rejuvenate with afternoon tea delights in the respite of the lobby lounge.
The hotel eschews alcohol in favour of fruit-charged smoothies and virgin cocktails, as part of its focus on guest wellbeing. Guests can follow their active programme with uplifting panoramic views over a satisfying meal at the Level 50 Rooftop Restaurant. Kick back with an elevated breeze and watch the sun set with a spread of international and local cuisine spanning homemade pappardelle, Australian wagyu and aromatic Thai tom yum shrimp soup. After all, you’ve earned it.
