What does a journey mean to you?
Exposure, reflection, growth, humility.
Which other country or location most inspires you?
I was overwhelmed by the culture of craft in Rajasthan. Artisans are everywhere in this northwestern state of India, and there was an addictive, propulsive quality to being around so many makers.
Where would you go back to, and why?
The west coast of Ireland. I can think of no greater peace than walking along a country road in Kerry, taking in the bracing sea air with the verdant mountains in the background.
What journey would you most like to go on?
Patagonia. Japan. Lebanon. The American West.
