Bay Area native Shonquis Moreno is a writer specialising in art, culture, and travel. She previously served as an editor for Dwell and Surface magazines, and now contributes to publications that also include Wallpaper and Kinfolk. She returned to San Francisco after living for many years in New York City, Istanbul, Washington, D.C., and Paris.
